A Guilt-Free Pleasure: Thank You WMAG!
If you’ve read Mamalaw for any amount of time, you know that almost 90% of my posts revolve around being full-time working mom balancing home, work and kids. With that comes a hefty dose of Mommy Guilt. Snicker or roll your eyes if you want to, but trust me that Mommy Guilt is real. I am especially having a major battle with it lately since my daughters are very sensitive to the fact that Mommy is always going to work or “meetings.”
In fact, just yesterday Chatterbox asked me: “Mom, my school is finished for the summer! When will you finish work?” A great question, no? When I explained that my work never ends, she was so let down, that my heart broke (and is still broken). This is just one example of the Mommy Guilt that plagues me day in and day out.
So imagine my excitement when I stumbled across Working Moms Against Guilt! It was like the blog gods opened up the sky and dropped this gem into my lap. Susan, Tela, Cara and Sara chronicle their ongoing struggles to resist the guilt and inspire us working moms to embrace the journey. Finally! I had found my people. Their blog offers doses of humor, advice, and everyday stories, along with an eye-opening dose of the nitty gritty truths of working motherhood. When I’m reading their blog, I sympathize, I laugh, and…I let go.
On this second to last day of the P&G Thank You Moms project, I would like to show my deep gratitude for the ladies at WMAG. Thank you for acknowledging the very real feelings of Working Mommy Guilt, for assuring moms like me that it’s ok to have those feelings, but most of all for encouraging us to press on, to live life and to love ourselves while we’re doing it.
This post is sponsored by the P&G Thank You Moms project. Have you entered their contest yet? Fifteen women will win $1,000 and a hand-held camera every month to go visit their moms! Don’t dilly dally – go here to enter.

WMAG is what got me into blog reading/writing! It’s the first blog I found (I don’t even remember how), and now I’m addicted. That was almost 3 years ago. Thanks from me too!
