Thankful

I had such a nice Thanksgiving week/weekend.  I stayed home the day before the holiday to prepare and that was a smart move.  I was able to grocery shop (at the new Wegmans!) and get a jump on cooking that saved my sanity.  I even had an evening to myself (unheard of) as Justice Ny took the girls out for Princess’ birthday and L’il Buddy accompanied Hubby to basketball.

Thanksgiving was laid-back, relaxing and fun with family and friends.  On Friday I bypassed the sales and headed to the salon to get my hair done.  Hubby and I finally watched Avatar On Demand and dinner was made super-easy by the Turkey Day leftovers.  Saturday included a family shopping trip, dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and an evening of Just Dance 2 (OMG, get it.) on the Wii for the kids, an early night for Hubby and a (bad) chick flick for me.  Today the girls and I had lunch with a dear friend and then it was their turn to get their hair done.  We topped off the low-maintenance weekend with chili dogs for dinner.

If only all of my weeks could be so lovely.  For the first time in a long time, I feel like I finally caught my breath and for that I am thankful.

  1. The 4 day weekend was just what I needed too! I wish all weeks could be short in favor of longer weekends!
